Network Operations Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Design, deploy, and maintain the organization's server infrastructure and data center network. *
2. Oversee the configuration, installation, and maintenance of physical and virtual servers, ensuring high availability and optimal performance. *
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess hardware and software requirements for network expansion and upgrades. *
4. Manage and optimize virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) to ensure efficient utilization of resources and seamless virtual machine deployment. *
5. Implement best practices for virtual machine security, performance, and disaster recovery. *
6. Stay up-to-date with the latest virtualization trends and technologies, recommending improvements as needed. *
7. Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of LAN/WAN networks to support data, voice, and video communications. *
8. Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively take corrective actions to ensure optimal network performance. *
9. Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement network security protocols, firewall rules, and intrusion detection systems. *
10. Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
• 6 or more years of recent work experience in managing network operations, server infrastructure, and virtualization technologies in a large-scale environment is required.
• Leadership experience is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, topologies, and network security best practices.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor technical professionals.
• Expertise in virtualization platforms, such as VMware, Hyper-V, or similar technologies.
• Demonstrated experience in project management and successful delivery of complex projects.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
