EHS Air Engineer
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare emissions permitting and provide compliance support to various BUs.
- Proactively maintain knowledge of current and emerging regulatory requirements and work with the BUs and Corporate EHS Staff on emissions challenges, regulatory interpretations, and advocacy efforts.
- Collaborate with Midstream and Operations departments in evaluating Air Quality requirements during the design, construction, modification, and maintenance of upstream and gathering and boosting facilities.
- Conduct emissions compliance demonstrations, notifications and reporting per regulatory requirements.
- Provide program support relating to air permitting and sustainability tracking as requested.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience with general air permitting for New Mexico, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Texas. Understanding of other air programs such as New Source Review (NSR), New Source Performance Standards (NSPS), National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP), Title V Permitting, etc.
- Experience developing and implementing processes and procedures to ensure compliance to permit terms and conditions.
- Experience with software analytical tools, e.g., Spotfire, etc., in addition to other emissions software tools. Advanced Microsoft Excel skill level is necessary.
- Experience with implementing new systems, tools, and/or processes to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of air compliance programs.
- Ability to collect and analyze requirements effectively.
- Ability to effectively communicate information to a wide variety of audiences
- Strong chemistry and mathematics skills
- Experience with generating presentation materials for various stakeholders
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Years of Experience Range: 3-5 years relevant experience in Air Compliance
Years of Experience Minimum Preferred: 3+ years relevant experience in Oil & Gas Operations
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum: 4 Year/Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or Engineering.
