Construction Engineer Project Manager
- Provide on-site quality assurance of large construction projects ($5M to $400M) as owner’s representative.
- Proactively communicate with agent and stakeholders to identify project issues, propose solutions, discuss technical requirements, provide detailed analysis, and document results.
- Work with higher headquarters on program-level strategy and briefings.
- Develop client-ready written documents (e.g., email ready to send, bullet background paper, summary of findings, root cause analysis, etc.).
- Review/analyze contract documents and standards (e.g., UFCs and AFIs).
- Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including defining objectives, scope, budget, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate the project team, including engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays or cost overruns.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Construction Engineer Project Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field, preferably engineering or construction (in some cases experience and relevant degree may be substituted for the degree requirement).
- PE, advanced degree, or PMP is a plus.
- At least three years of relevant experience, preferably with airfield facilities such as pavements, fuel systems, hangars, etc.
- Experience with complex facility design/construction projects.
- Experience solving project challenges such as conflict resolution, claims management, etc. is a plus.
- Experience at a US military headquarters-level organization on MILCON or similar programs is a plus.
- Experience with Architectural & Engineering (A&E) companies and contracts is a plus.
- Experience with construction cost and schedule estimating is a plus.
- Past applicable job experience may include, but is not limited to: Construction Project Manager, MILCON Program Manager, or Airfield Pavements Engineer.
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications for a federal contracting firm.
